Byron Bay Beach

Had a couple more VB’s. Found a corner on the dance floor and went to it. Would have made Scott proud. Surprise of the night: Ice, Ice Baby. The DJ’s played at least 4 songs twice as well. Had fun. Enjoyed not being one of those guys trying to take a girl home. Consequently I met Carimme from Switzerland. Having difficulty spelling. [Editor: journal showed her name crossed out twice and Switzerland crossed out once] Anyhow, she is here alone heading south. She’s been here for a few months (like many here) and has seen Perth, Alice, Cairns, etc (again, like many). Nice girl. Enjoyed meeting and talking with someone, if only briefly. Closed the place, had a bottle of cold coffee (I don’t know), and sat down for a bit. Heard (but never saw) what I believed to be bats. Carimme thought they were some insect. I think she’s wrong. Went back to the hostel, set my clock forward an hour. and went to sleep. Now I need to decide what to do. Relax. Yeah, I’d like that. Have some coffee. I’d like to try some surfing here. bird watch if possible. Shop. Relax. According to the hostel, Fraser Is booked out 5 days ahead. Maybe I should think about that. Well, I think I’ll go find some brekky and some email access.
Beautiful day, by the way.

The internet place doesn’t open for 10 min. Having some coffee in the mean….. Crapped my brains out at 3 AM. Isn’t that the second time I’ve written that. This waiter is a little urrrrrrrr….. Lots of surf shops and coffee houses. I can understand why people stay long here. Why does it take Aussies so long to make coffee?
Oh, now I take my coffee white. I don’t know.
