Should be leaving for Mt Warning in 5 minutes, so let me just say that Aussies are really weird about brekky. Spaghetti, meat pies, sausage rolls. Hardly any pastries or doughnuts. Quite strange.
But this place I’m at now is really nice. I’m really torn on whether to stay a bit longer or push north. I really should continue on. But the town is small, the hostel sits on the river, the folks here are friendly (Tassie the manager doesn’t seem too friendly, though). This place has canoes, bikes, a grill, lockers for your gear & food, no locks on the doors, a pair of Pied Currawongs on the patio at the moment, a great view of Mt Warning & the river from the deck, … I could go on & on. It reminds me of Uncle Paul & Aunt Paula’s cottage.

Nice. Very nice. I can see town, the coast, Byron, Queensland, and on & on. Beautiful day. Bright blue skies, warm sunshine on my back. And brush Turkeys all around.
